Both Skyservice and Zoom have cheap flights to Rome from the Toronto and Montreal. These flights are into Rome Fumicino. Quite often, last minute charter airfare to Rome is much more reasonably priced than scheduled options like Alitalia and Air Canada, however, this program to Italy is very successful and is often sold out at the last minute. There are flights from Montreal and Toronto to Montreal three times weekly, and if you are flexible for dates of travel, you’ll find these the cheapest in the market. Many people traveling around Italy use Rome as their base, opting to rent a car or start their tour.
