Air Transat has cheap flights to Hamburg from Toronto during the summer months. Quite often, last minute charter airfare to Hamburg is much more reasonably priced than scheduled options with connections. There are twice weekly charter flights from Toronto to Munich. The trick to saving money on flights to Hamburg is to be flexible enough with your dates to take advantage of Air Transat’s excellent fares. Most of the year, the only way to get to Hamburg is with a connection on Lufthansa or Air Canada. If you’re renting a car anyway, you may consider the more numerous flights to Frankfurt, but it is a good four and a half hour drive.
