Exeter is the gateway to the South West of England - close to Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall. Air Transat has the cheap flights to Exeter locked up. Quite often, last minute charter airfare to Exeter is much more reasonably priced than schedule options with connections. There are flights one a week from Toronto to Exeter with great fares, so you may want to also check flights to London Gatwick if you are renting a car. If you are departing from some other point in Canada, you cannot fly non stop without connecting through London or some other point. Airfares to Exeter from cities where charters do not fly will likely be expensive. Consider flying into London Gatwick, as there are twice weekly flights from Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and Halifax, and nearly daily flights from Toronto. It’s about a three hour drive between Exeter and Gatwick.
