Air Transat has the cheap flights to Birmingham locked up. Quite often, last minute charter airfare to Birmingham is much more reasonably priced than schedule options with connections. There are flights twice a week from Toronto to Birmingham with great fares. If you are departing from some other point in Canada, you cannot fly non stop without connecting through London or some other point. Airfares to Birmingham from cities where charters do not fly will likely be expensive. Consider flying into London Gatwick or Manchester if you are renting a car. It’s about a three hour drive from Gatwick, and a little under two from Manchester. We often find people flying into Birmingham are renting cars and staying in the nearby towns and cities as it is a bit more centrally located than Manchester and Gatwick.
